After going to the Espy awards taping..I came to a realization that I had put on the backburner for quite some time. But When I saw my other hero, Robin Roberts... who had set the BAR of amazingness that I would NEED to surpass to be taken seriously..she reminded me of what all my heros (parental units, alicia keys, pat tobin, and robin roberts)..AAALL have in common. they followed their PASSION.

As Robin Roberts stood there alongside Stuart Scott ... it struck me after the Black Olympic runners were saluted...although I love many passions..and what I'd like to think are many talents...I love the thing that pretty much SAVED my life........SPORTS


lol, no..i'm not saying that because they came up with the song..even though it may it more clear for my very scatter cranium..

..I don't think people understand how HUGE sports has been in MY life. Lets just say..lol many times my broham and I would FIGHT over the sports section in the morning for who would READ the SPORTS SECTION while eating breakfast.
sports kept me out of trouble - away from the bullshit - away from jail and drugs - away from prego city - away from gangs and crews.
...lol, i really can go on and on..especially since this is a blog. but just know i owe a lot to sports and its world.

I'm not declaring anything yet, but I will get my feet wet and reacquaint myself with my former lover. lol :-P

anyone see the wnba brawl with candace parker and the detroit shock? it was sooo great. lol and this will certainly HELP the wnba. yeah yeah yeah - i understand you want to be a "role model" to little girls..but PART of being a role model is SHOWING you're ALSO human. to be completely honest, speaking as an athlete (former and kinda current)..lol this makes you actually RELATEABLE! ..nooo REALLY it does. I have a bazillion times MORE respect for Candace Parker who pretty much "G..checked her!" to show..' yeah I know I'm new booty to the game, but you CAN'T punk me"...

that was actually a strength of character. I would rather LOOK UP to someone who can also stand up for themselves. lol now what that milton chick did was hilarious, THAT might be kind of questionable..but at the end of the day, she has her TEAMMATES back..and that's also someone I would want to look up to.

..so while lisa leslie wants to cry about it..and the wnba isn't a fan of what happened. UNDERSTAND this will sell WAAAAY more tickets than the wnba has ever been able to do in the 10-12 years its been in existence ..and HEY maybe this will EVEN diversify the crowd that is normally at the wnba games. as being very pro womens sports..this is actually a GREAT thing for the wnba. lol people GET into fights, you HAVE moments of unsportsmanship-like conduct..if you're passionate about your game, your EMOTIONS wiiill from time to time get the best of you. it's happened to other "role models" - kobe, tiger, hell..lol do we need to bring up ron artest. come on. get REAL. this is greatness. and if anything i will go to waaay more sparks games. PLUS candace parker is fuckin awesome - dunkin on bitches. AMAZING. wnba needs to dunk more and fine tune the showmanship of it..wnba has always been about teamwork..teammates..and doing EVERYTHING um, almost everything lol as a TEAM. that's what you're taught as a lil midget patrol playing sports. but it's a BUSINESS now along with your passion.
