"When normally people or an NFL player for that matter go fishing, it is to be a type of equivalent to playing a friendly game of golf with some friends. Times to re-connect, reflect, relax, and look ahead. Unfortunately that was anything but for several men on Saturday that included NFL players Corey Smith (Detroit Lions Defensive End) and Marquis Cooper (Oakland Raiders Linebacker). Around 6:30am on Saturday, Smith and Cooper went on a fishing trip with two other men (Will Bleakley and Nick Schuyler both former University of South Florida players) off Florida’s Gulf Coast that was set to arrive back to land just before dark; however, it wasn’t until Sunday at 2:00am there was a call phoned to the U.S. Coast Guard that they never made it back...."
